o Print/cut front bodice from Labri
o Cut all fabric pieces needed: Front and back bodice from Labri, 2 skirts from Cassandra, straps from Cassandra, and any trim you will be using.
o Post pics of you cut fabric!
Tuesday, July 8, 14
o Work on your straps. Measure for length. See blog post for details. Ask questions. You will end up with 4 straps.
o Assemble straps to front and back bodices.
o Sew all bodice pieces together. First, fashion fabrics to linings. Then, fronts to backs.
o Top stitch under arms and across front.
o Post pics of this done!
Wednesday, July 9, 14
o Cut the rounded corners on the short skirt.
o If not using knit finish the hem for the top and bottom skirt.
o Add the trim to the short skirt.
o Post pics of this done!
Thursday, July 10, 14
o Gather the longer/bottom skirt to fit bodice.
o Gather the shorter/top skirt to fit around other skirt leaving about a 1” – 2” gap in the center front.
o Pin them together.
o Sew/serge them together so they become one piece.
o Post pics of this done!
Friday, July 11, 14
o Sew skirts to the bodice per the tutorial on sewlikethat blog.
o Top stitch this seam if you wish.
o Finish the back bodice by shirring it. As many rows as you like for your dress.
o If doing a side tail hem and haven’t cut it yet, do that.
o Trim any threads and make any finishing touches you like.
o Post pics of finished dress on your girlies!
